JULY 2026 AT A GLANCE

ABL Programme
Completing their Portfolios of Evidence
This month, our Adventure-Based Learning (ABL) Trainees have been focused on completing and submitting their Portfolios of Evidence (POE). This is a file that contains all their assessed work for their qualification, submitted as proof of competence. The work covers workplace communication and literacy, such as comprehension exercises based on real workplace scenarios and practical numeracy, like how compound interest works. This is all in service to acquiring their NQF Level 4 qualification at the end of the year.

Ocean Connection Workshops
Collaboration with Cape Leopard Trust
We hosted an Ocean Connection Workshop for nineteen young girls in collaboration with Girls In Conservation and Cape Leopard Trust. They rolled up their sleeves for a beach cleanup, learnt about ocean literacy and met the underwater world face-to-face with a guided snorkelling experience. Our favourite part was hearing the girls talk about how else they might encourage others to stop littering at home.
