WHO WE ARE
We run ocean education programmes for young people from under-served communities, train and empower young facilitators from those same communities, and share our method with partner organisations around the world.
OUR MISSION
I AM WATER believes in ocean conservation through transformative human experience. When someone opens their eyes underwater and sees the beauty of the world beneath the waves, they begin to love it, and what we love, we protect.
Our mission is to ignite a movement of blue minds across the planet. We create physical and emotional connections to the ocean, build understanding of how healthy people and healthy oceans depend on each other, and inspire the behaviour change our seas need.
We are especially committed to under-resourced coastal communities, where many young people live within walking distance of the shore but have never seen what lies beneath the surface.
WHAT WE DO:
Since 2010, we've provided global opportunities to engage and educate ocean-users with the world beneath the waves in order to understand their personal opportunity to protect the planet.
I AM WATER gives visibility to the fact that humankind cannot survive without nature and nature cannot survive unless we radically change our behaviour.
