IPCC 6th CLIMATE ASSESSMENT REPORT.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released its 6th Climate Assessment Report on the 9th of August. Why should we be interested in the report? The report details the state of the global climate and contains information that is pertinent to the future of our planet and can be used to help guide our personal choices.

Over a period of 8 years, 234 scientists from all over the world analysed 14000 research papers to provide a synthesis of the most recent research on climate change and its effects. While the report is aimed at governments in order to help inform policy decisions relating to climate change, it is also a huge wake up call for individuals and smaller organisations.
